Hi guys.

After much contemplation, I have decided to start a blog to share the food in my life with the people in my life.

Being that I live in New York City, all of my money goes to one of two things: either my rent or my food, and considering the price of my rent, going out to eat healthily is not a very viable option.


SO, that, coupled with my enjoyment of the creation process (not THAT creation process!), I experiment in the kitchen. Most of the time the dishes I come up with taste pretty good and can charm my non-vegan friends, but I am the first to admit when an experiment has gone awry.

Being the only vegan I knew when I made the decision to lead a vegan lifestyle nearly 7 years ago, I had to teach myself and learn about my new diet without the guidance of someone who had been through the process. I seek to share the knowledge I have gathered with people in the same boat, and also share some of my recipes and ideas with seasoned vegans who are looking for something new.

I am Vegan on a budget, but I buy the best ingredients when they will affect the final flavor of the food. I try to buy locally and in season when possible. more on that later.
